Is Tutoring Right for Me?
Tutoring 1-on-1 gives you lessons that are tailored to fit your requirements. You can learn at your own pace. Your customized program will take into account both your strengths and weaknesses and we will focus on what you need to reach your goals. Even if you are already taking a university or college course to improve your English, you will find that additional private tutoring will reinforce and enhance learning.
When Can I Get Tutoring?
At The English Circle we provide tutors 7 days a week. We can usually work around your schedule. If you need tutoring after work or on Saturdays—we can help you!
Where Is Tutoring Done?
We tutor ONLINE and (when no COVID problem) meet adult students located in central Toronto at home, office or library or another mutually convenient location.
How Long Are the Tutoring Sessions?
We recommend a minimum of 1 hour for Online and 1 ½ hours for In-Person sessions. Longer lessons can also be arranged.
How Can I Be Sure My Tutor is Qualified?
All our teacher/tutors are native English speakers who have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and a TESL certification / or other advanced academic qualifications.
What Geographic Areas Does The English Circle Cover?
The English Circle offers tutoring in-person in central Toronto but Online worldwide.
What If I Need To Change My Class Time?
Please arrange any changes to your regular schedule with your tutor or the the English Circle manager. Please request 24 hours in advance,
Late Policy?
If a student is late, the session will end at the originally scheduled time.
Cancellation Policy?
Please cancel any scheduled class at least 24 hours in advance. The lesson may be re-scheduled. You will be charged for 1 hour if a class is cancelled late or without adequate notice.
What If I Want Another Teacher?
The English Circle will endeavour to arrange another teacher for you if, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied — or if your requirements for tutoring have changed.
Payments?
Payments can be made off-site online by credit card, PayPal or through INTERAC e-payment. Pre-payment must be made at least 24 hours before your 1st session. No cash payments paid directly to your teacher accepted.
Refunds
See our Guarantee Policy. If a refund is approved for unused hours, there will be a $25.00 administrative fee applied. Normally, such a request should be submitted within 30 days from the date of purchase.
